when I think ‘stories’ in the context of this quote, it is oral history which is the telling of largely truthful events which are passed down to benefit the people who will carry the banner of their family heritage, hopefully with a proud tradition of christian faith from my standpoint; traditional practical and spiritual values benefit all even outside the family circle, for instance, by understanding what kind of shock and awe the Armenian people experienced by the vicious Turkish radical onslaught over 100 years ago, the world understands that kind of devastation should never be allowed to be repeated in any culture; stories to the place where lives are lived with the hope that with each successive generation, the lives of the newborn generation will be blessed as they observe the faith of their fathers.
